Fees & Payment

At New Beginnings we want to help you understand the costs and what’s included in your Global Maternity Care, Facility Fee, and Homebirth Fee. Whether you have insurance or pay as a cash payer, we have options for you.

If you have insurance:

A Verification of Benefits is completed which provides an estimate of costs covered by your insurance company where fees are separated and itemized for insurance billing. New Beginnings is currently accepting Blue Cross of Idaho, TriCare, Aetna, Liberty Health, Cigna, Regence, Medishare, Mountain Health Co-op. We do not accept Medicaid.

  • Most often insurance companies have a deductible and coinsurance that the client is responsible for paying. Your insurance company will estimate what they will pay for your care and in some cases, their coverage does not fulfill the entire cost billed for your care.
  • Freestanding birth centers are not recognized by the State of Idaho for licensing. Therefore, many insurance plans elect not to cover facility fees.
  • Billing for your newborn care is handled post-birth. However, you must follow your insurance policy guidelines for adding your newborn at their required time frame which is typically within 30 days post birth.

If you are a cash payer:

We provide a financial agreement for monthly payments. A discount is provided if the full cost of care payment is received at the first visit. Please contact us for more information.

Costs excluded from Global Maternity Care:

  • Lab testing
  • Anatomical Scan Ultrasound
  • Additional medical procedures that may be necessary during your care
  • Should it become necessary, any costs associated with hospital care and transport to a medical facility.
